The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) affirmed that half a million children are in “immediate danger” in Libya’s capital, Tripoli, while more than 2.6 million children across the country are in need.
In a press statement, UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa Geert Cappelaere said that ” “We are shocked and saddened by reports that an entire family, including two children, were killed today in Tripoli when a missile hit their home, adding that the UNICEF calls on all parties of the conflict in Libya to protect children at all times.
