The State Council's Administrative Court upheld on Tuesday a court ruling that was issued in June to annul a maritime demarcation deal that transfers the sovereignty of Tiran and Sanafir islands from Egypt to Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed by Egypt and Saudi Arabia in April.
The court, under Counselor Bakhit Ismail, rejected an appeal filed by the State Lawsuits Authority against a recent court ruling on the invalidity of the Tiran and Sanafir islands agreement.
In the appeal, the authority called for annulling the verdict.
