The ambulance will be able to treat various injuries that women complain of.
Dubai - Egypt Today

A pink responder ambulance designated to give emergency treatment to ladies, pregnant women, handle deliveries, injuries among children and shift them to hospitals was launched recently.
Khalifa Al Drai, the Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) said that the pink responder is the latest service of the specialised services that DCAS offers. Currently, 24 services are being offered.
The pink ambulance will be initially positioned at Al Tawar Municipality Centre. The ambulance will cover the entire Deira area for 12 uninterrupted hours from 11:00am to 11:00pm.
The point where the pink responder will be stationed shall be evaluated within two months depending on the areas from where DCAS mostly receives reports. After a short trial run, another woman responder will be launched to cover Bur Dubai suburb.
Al Drai said those who will be benefiting from the pink responder are mostly women. The ambulance will be able to treat various injuries that women complain of
For expectant and pregnant women, their cases will be dealt with swiftly as soon as the pink responder or the maternity and childhood ambulance arrive. The pink responder will be also be dealing with babies and children cases ranging from the age of one day to 12 years.
Al Drai said highly trained paramedics and drivers with vast experience have been assigned this job so that they could deal optimally with the reported cases and provide patients with proper medicines on time. The ambulance will be also dealing with serious injuries that woman suffer from as well as labour cases.
According to Al Drai, the paramedics and drivers, who will be handling the pink responder have undergone special training courses at high level, either theoretically or practically, in coordination with the Latifa Hospital.
