Currently on a visit to Belarus, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met Monday with his counterpart Vladimir Makei to discuss bilateral relations and developments in the Middle East.
The top diplomats reviewed a list of projects their countries are currently probing, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Shoukry reviewed Egypt's vision regarding conditions in the Middle East region, Abu Zeid added.
The meeting particularly focused on the crises in Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq, the spokesman said.
They also discussed Cairo's efforts to revive peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, he noted.
Figuring high at the talks were also efforts to fight terrorism and developments regarding the Arab crisis with Qatar, Abu Zeid added.
Makei greatly appreciated Egypt's balanced stances and its keenness to achieve peace and security in the Middle East, the spokesman further said.
