The Egyptian Embassy in Tunisia is following up the case of 14 Egyptian fishermen who were detained near Zarzis port, said Egypt's Ambassador in Tunisia Ayman Musharafa.
In statements to MENA correspondent here on Thursday, Musharafa said the Tunisian authorities detained the Egyptian fishing boat late yesterday.
He further said that 14 fishermen are were on board of the boat.
The Egyptian fishermen were taken to the naval base of Sfax for investigations, he added.
He further affirmed that the Egyptian Embassy is following up the developments in this respect.
