Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held talks with Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al Sarraj and UN envoy to Libya Ghasan Salama as part of Egyptian diplomatic moves to boost peace and stability in the unrest-hit North African country, said spokesman for the Foreign Minister Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Shoukry is currently on a visit to Paris.
The spokesman said Sarraj updated Shoukry on the outcome of his meeting with commander of the Libyan army Khalifa Haftar, saying the meeting was an important step on the road of achieving a national reconciliation in Libya.
The meeting reiterated the importance of abiding by Skhirat agreement as a basis for reaching a comprehensive settlement in Libya.
During his meeting with the UN envoy to Libya, Shoukry underlined the important role of the UN in putting into effect Skhirat agreement.
He also updated the envoy on the outcome of contacts held by Egypt with different sides to bring viewpoints of different bodies closer.
