Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call from his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Al Safadi to discuss steps and measures needed to face Israeli perilous violations against Palestinians in Al-Quds, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abou Zeid said on Saturday.
The ministers also tackled the deteriorating security situation in the holy city and the surroundings of Al Aqsa Mosque as well as the Israeli dangerous aggression against the Palestinians.
They reviewed the situation and asserted the importance of halting the Israeli escalation as well as lifting restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities on Palestinians especially preventing Palestinians from practicing religious rituals At Al Aqsa Mosque.
Earlier, clashes erupted between the Israeli forces and Palestinians after Israeli forces killed a number of Palestinians and arrested others.
