Head of Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh on Tuesday said Egypt's sponsorship of Palestinian reconciliation gives more optimism and confidence.
This time, divisions would be overcome with Egypt's assistance, Haniyeh said in statements to CBC Extra, noting that the long-standing rift requires responsible Palestinian citizens who aim at restoring unity.
Hamas has long called for the reconciliation since clinching the 2005 deal in Cairo and the 2007 agreement in Mecca.
Highlighting the Hamas members' view on solving the administrative committee, Haniyeh stressed that all Hamas members support achieving the reconciliation in face of the Israeli occupation.
