A fire broke out at what appeared to be a warehouse in Dubai's Al Quoz area behind the Bur Dubai Traffic Police Station off Shaikh Zayed Road on Tuesday night.Several civil defence fire engines battled the blaze, which started at around 11pm near the Sun and Sands Factory Outlet off Umm Suqeim Road.Apart from the police station, the neighbourhood also houses the Tasjeel car testing centre and a cluster of warehouses and trading companies. As thick clouds of smoke billowed from the site, dozens of police cars cordoned off the road behind the traffic police station to secure the area, with civil defence personnel fighting the blaze late into the night. The fire was brought under control past midnight, nearly two hours after it started.
