The Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh and the General Consulate in Jeddah are following up the process of deporting Egyptian nationals who violated residence and work rules in Saudi Arabia, Egyptian Acting Consul General in Jeddah Ashraf el Deeb said on Monday.
He added that they were not deported to Egypt last week because of Eid al-Fitr holidays, adding that there were no available flights due to the pilgrims' return season.
Three flights carrying 135 Egyptian deportees are expected to head from Saudi Arabia to Egypt by the end of this week.
He added that there are 30 Egyptian nationals who are seized in Saudi Arabia after violating residence and work rules, adding that the embassy and the consulate are following up the capability of issuing a royal pardon to release them.
He denied claims saying that the embassy and the consulate are not taking care of those nationals, urging all nationals to commit with Saudi rules in order not to be subject to legal prosecution.
