The Palestinian movement of Hamas has reiterated its respect and keenness on the Egyptian national security, hailing Cairo's historic role in support of the Palestinian cause.
In a statement, the movement appreciated the Egyptian role including measures to ease the suffering of people in the Gaza Strip.
A series of talks has been held with the Egyptian side with some outcome emerged that will further ease the burdens of the enclave, said the statement.
"The Hamas delegation to the talks confirmed full preparedness to end the inter-Palestinian rift," said the movement, adding that it accepted the national accord government to conduct its tasks in the Gaza Strip.
The team asked the Egyptian side; the sponsor of the Palestinian reconciliation process, to supervise the implementation of the Cairo agreement including the formation of a national unity government and to set dates for the legislative and presidential elections, according to the statement.
