Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram stressed Egypt's keenness on preserving the dignity and rights of Egyptian expatriates.
In statements on Sunday, Makram said she is contacting the Interior Minister to verify the video of "Kuwaiti Kafeel (sponsor) who allegedly insulted and beat an Egyptian youth and to find out its date, source, time of uploading and place of recording.
The video triggered our resentment and concern over our expatriates, yet we will not jump to conclusions before verifying the video's reality, she noted.
Earlier, a video was circulated on social media showing a Kuwaiti Kafeel beating and insulting an Egyptian youth after undressing him.
