Members of the Amman Chamber of Industry Board, ACI, on Sunday met with the Romanian Ambassador to Jordan, Nicolae Comanescu, and discussed means to increase Jordanian industrial exports to Romania.
According to a statement by the ACI, Jordan's exports to Romania last year stood at only US$6 million, while imports from the East European nation amounted to US$590 million, Petra, Jordan's News Agency, said.
Members of the ACI board who attended the meeting said that ACI is examining the possibility of organising a visit to Romania during which an industrial fair will be held in the capital, Bucharest, to promote Jordanian industrial products.
The ambassador voiced his country's desire to enhance economic cooperation with Jordan, and overcome obstacles facing them, especially entry visas to businessmen and industrialists.
