"Progressive Socialist Party" Choueifat Branch organized Sunday an oath-swearing ceremony for its new members, under the patronage of MP Walid Jumblatt. A number of prominent political dignitaries attended the event. In his word before the new sworn-in members, Jumblatt implored them to focus on the Partys principles and ideas instead of following a certain party leader person, which is a wrong approach, he noted. He added that the political party remains the main part, while the person passes through said party.Jumblatt disclosed that a general assembly shall be held towards the end of the current month, during which cLear politicalwords shall be uttered regarding the past, the present and the future pertaining to the Party; in addition to organization issues. He indicated, herein, that there shall be a shift to a new order within the Party. He expressed appreciation to old generation members within the Party, who contributed to protecting it by all means. However, he pointed to the need for a fresh new look through the new generation of PSP members enjoying diversity and liberty from the "personified mottos", and who are capable of practicing dialogue and openness towards all political parties, trends and affiliations, with no discrimination whatsoever. He considered that the minute bias and limited intellectual horizons are practiced, then that signals the end of the open human principle which the late Kamal Jumblatt believed in. Hence, Jumblatt highlighted openness, diversity and dialogue with both the near and far, as being the most important in politics, and for the well-being and correct path of the party, the intellect and that of humanity, as a whole.Jumblatt seized the occasion to congratulate the Arab world, particularly women in the Arab world for the Nobel Prize won by three Arab women, namely the "Tawakul Kerman Nobel Prize".
