His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, Monday, visited the General Directorate of Gendarmerie, and met with its director, Major General Hussein al- Hawatmeh.
His Majesty along with al- Hawatmeh discussed a wide range of issues of concern to the directorate, as al- Hawatmeh briefed His Majesty on procedures taken by the directorate that aim to reach a high level of professionalism and readiness of gendarmerie personnel.
The King attended a military exercise implemented by various units including field applications in combating terrorism, fighting operations in urban zones, raiding skills, using live ammunition, mountaineering skills and self-defense.
His Majesty praised the advanced level the directorate enjoys, voicing his pride in gendarmerie personnel and their high morale.
