His Highness the Prime Minister affirmed on Tuesday government abidance by ruling the Constitutional Court regarding interpellation motion filed against him by two MPs."We will abide by the decision of the Constitutional Court and results of the voting at Abdullah Al-Salem Hall," said HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, alluding to the tribunal order concerning the interpellation against him that had been presented by MPs Ahmad Al-Saadoun and Abdul-Rahman Al-Anjeri.HH Sheikh Nasser made the statement following the NA session, during which this motion for grilling HH the Premier was omitted from the agenda. The Constitutional Court had ruled, regarding interpretation of the provisions 100, 123 and 127, that any inquiry motion against HH the Premier must be restricted within limits of jurisdictions of the government and must not address executive tasks of any of the ministries or any minister. The tribunal has also ruled that political responsibility must be laid on shoulders of the ministers, individually, and that in case an MP, seeking to practise his right to question the prime minister concerning his powers, must file a relevant motion at a time the government policy remained effective.
