Kuwait's National Assembly has approved by majority vote a draft law endorsing an extradition agreement between Kuwait and the United Kingdom.
In his speech at the National Assembly's regular session, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah underscored the importance of the agreement, adding that it was a step towards boosting bilateral ties with the UK that date back to 1775, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Shaikh Sabah thanked the assembly for approving the agreement that underwent several discussion sessions between senior Kuwaiti and British officials, KUNA reported.
