Lebanon's Arsal mayor Bassel al-Hujeiri said he is hoping for the resumption of talks between Nusra militants and Hezbollah so that the militants would withdraw to inside the Syrian territories.
The talks suffered a setback on Saturday after the former deputy mayor was killed in a rocket attack on his car.
Hujeiri told MENA that the negotiations will stop for some time, voicing hope that the crisis would be solved through mediation.
Hezbollah has launched a joint operation with the Syrian army to expel the militants from the area.
