The new family courts complex will open its doors in Hunainya in September, as part of the new judicial year 2017-2018.
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry Undersecretary for Judicial Affairs Chancellor Wael Bouallay announced the inauguration date.
“The lower and higher Sharia family courts, the High Court of Appeal and the Alimony Fund will be relocated to the new headquarters in Hunainya”, he said, adding that the relocation will be coordinated with the Supreme Judicial Council.
The remaining sections will also be transferred later, including the family execution court, the court of urgent family cases and the family reconciliation department.
The chancellor said that the new milestone would provide all legal services to fast-track procedures for litigators, lawyers and other relevant parties. The three-storey complex covers up to 8,000 square metres.
