The National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR) endorsed a code of conduct to regulate the work of the general-secretariat employees.
“The deontology blueprint aims at ensuring standard services that comply with the objectives of the national watchdog”, said NIHR Acting-Secretary-General Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al-Fadhel.
He stressed commitment to the standards of accuracy, objectivity probity and neutrality in dealing with citizens and residents, without any discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, language, religion, sect, faith or political affinities.
“The code of ethics seeks to foster commitment to behavioural and moral standards as well as professional values and conventions”, Dr. Al-Fadhel said, underscoring the importance of fostering equal opportunities, integrity, transparency and credibility.
