Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar has stressed that policemen have always acted to protect rights of citizens and will always do.
Policemen will not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for every citizen to feel safe and protected, Abdel Ghaffar said in his speech during the graduation of a new batch of the Police Academy earlier Wednesday.
The police apparatus is well aware of challenges facing the country, atop of which terrorism, which is the biggest world threat nowadays, the minister said, adding that terrorists seek to undermine the stability and security of peoples.
Areas of conflicts are the most ripe for terrorism, Abdel Ghaffar said, noting that terrorists find in those areas the best hideouts from which they can hit regional stability.
Policemen have vowed to seriously act to protect state interests against this and any other threats, he added.
