Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa said preserving the countries' borders is a duty that can be done by only some people on condition that "we support and stand by them".
The minister on that score greeted the Armed Forces and police personnel who safeguard the country and who sacrificed their lives to preserve the security and stability of Egypt.
Meanwhile, the minister lauded the Armed Forces' efforts after they thwarted an attempt on Tuesday to infiltrate into the country's western borders, when the air forces detected and damaged 12 vehicles loaded with weapons, ammunition and smuggled goods.
