 Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Ayban, Chairman of the Saudi Human Rights Commission has reaffirmed that the royal directives issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, following the unfortunate and tragic event that ended the life of Jamal Khashoggi.

He welcomed the directive to the Public Prosecutor to uncover the circumstances of the disappearance of the citizen Jamal Khashoggi, which led to the disclosure of the fate of the deceased - may God have mercy upon him, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. 

It resulted in the subsequent detention of the suspects to complete investigations and sacking of a number of officials, are aimed at achieving justice and holding accountability those involved, in the case, with absolute transparency.

He also welcomed the formation of a ministerial committee under the chairmanship of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia to restructure the General Intelligence Presidency, which aims to modernize the Saudi general intelligence system, regulations and determine their validity, to consolidate the foundations of justice in accordance with Islamic law, and protect the security and safety of all citizens and residents, in this country, and to ensure the safety of its citizens, at home and abroad, he pointed out.

"These orders and measures unequivocally reaffirm that the protection of human rights, in accordance with the provisions of Islamic law and regulations, is one of the most important priorities of the state, he said, adding that the judiciary will have the final say, in achieving justice and bringing those involved to a fair trial," he said.
