Riyadh - Spa

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Eisa, opened here today the Forum of Modern Trends in Alternative Punishment organized by the Ministry of Justice within the framework of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Project for the Development of Judicial Body. Addressing the three-day Forum, Dr. Al-Eisa expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the King for his support for such forums within his project for the development of the Judicial Body. He pointed out that taking prison alternatives in sentences for easy violations is more useful and effective in contemporary conditions, indicating that recent trends see the option of prison as a last resort, particularly in major crimes relating to the protection of national security and the society from the seeds of corruption and their negative impacts.
