The ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Charge d’ Affaires of the Bahraini embassy to Tunisia met today with Tunisian Foreign Minister Khmais Al-Jehinawi. They briefed him on the steps taken by the four countries on cutting off diplomatic ties with Qatar in light of their commitment to fighting terrorism and drying up its funding sources as well as combating extremism and its promotional tools.
They emphasised to the Tunisian Foreign Minister their countries’ keenness on the interest of the Qatari people who are a natural extension of their brethren in the GCC countries and part of their social texture. They also underlined the ongoing efforts to take into consideration humanitarian cases of common families between Qatar and their countries.
