All publications and flyers related to Sharjah Charity International's projects and initiatives must carry the logo of the Year of Giving, according to orders issued by Sheikh Essam bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the agency's Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The charity's management has issued clear instructions in compliance with the orders, stated Abdullah bin Sultan bin Khadim, the humanitarian agency's executive director and board member.
The logo must feature in all publications, with immediate effect, he noted.
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan last month declared 2017 as the Year of Giving, denoting the original values of the UAE. The logo of the campaign reflects that, he said.
"We never hesitate to support our leadership and seek to realise its aspirations and support humanitarian work," Bin Khadim said.
The Year of Giving provides the charity with an opportunity to expand its work. It does not represent only Sharjah, and its mission is in line with the State’s wider objectives of helping and supporting the needy, he noted.
Welcoming those wishing to work voluntarily with the charity at the national and international levels, Bin Khadim highlighted its efforts in co-operating with the private sector, and said the year 2017 will see an immense amount of humanitarian work and efforts will be intensified to fight poverty and ignorance.
