Khartoum - Arab Today

The Sudanese government rejected granting an autonomous rule for South Kordofan and Blue Nile, something which will threaten the unity of the country.

Sudan said it will not accept the move and decided to implement a positive discrimination policy in employment and development.

Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamed, Presidential aide, told Al Meghar Al Siyasi newspaper in Khartoum on Sunday that the government is ready to release any political detainee in the two relevant areas in an effort to achieve peace across the nation.
