Armed Syrian opposition factions have countered an attempt by Iranian-backed regime troops to advance toward southern Aleppo.
Al Fatah army has foiled the advance toward al Wudeihi town and al Huwaiz village, military opposition sources told Sky News Wednesday, adding that no casualties were reported.
The death toll from Russian raids on Tariq al Bab neighborhood in Aleppo has, meanwhile, increased to 25. Another 50 civilians were reportedly wounded.
The Syrian regime has recently rejected a call by the UN to deliver aid to al Wa'ar area in Homs.
