Creed frontman Scott Stapp posted a 15-minute video on his Facebook page Wednesday saying he's homeless and penniless, but "sober as can be."
Stapp said he underwent an audit about eight weeks ago, both for his record company and his personal finances.
"A lot of money was stolen from me or royalties not paid and that's when all hell began to break loose," he said.
He said people have stolen money from him and discredited him. He called his travails a "vicious attack."
In the meantime, the IRS froze his accounts, leaving him "penniless" and living in his truck or a hotel room. He said he went two days without eating and ended up in an emergency room.
Stapp went on to quote scripture from the Bible and mention the hardships on his three children.
