Somaya el-Khashab: No problem with Hemida

Famous Egyptian actress Somaya el-Khashab has denied rumours of a rift between her and and her co-star, Mahmoud Hemida, saying that the pair get on well. Her comments to Arabstoday come after claims that Hemida had threatened to withdraw from the series "Merath al-Reeh" in protest at his decreasing screen presence in favour of Somaye. Somaye said the rumour was just gossip and added that the two actors will continue to work on the series together, peacefully, as professional colleagues.
