It is incumbent on the state to equip the youth with the latest tools in technology-based learning including what is known as Smart Learning, said a Kuwaiti official at a forum on Tuesday.
The state, represented by its vast educational resources, should incorporate the basics of smart learning in its school systems since technology-based education is the norm for future generations, said Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, assistant undersecretary for youth development at The Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, in a forum on smart learning.
He said the ministry he is working for has been keen on inviting international experts in technology-based learning and teaching to help Kuwaiti youth learn the benefits of acquiring aptitudes and skills through smart learning.
The forum today aims at involving the private and public sectors and NGOs in laying out a strategy for the promotion of smart learning in Kuwaiti schools and institutions, said the forum's task force chief yousif Al-Rashidi.
Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Intel is one of the world's largest and highest valued semiconductor chip makers with expertise on e-learning whose representative Iyad Mulaeb attended the forum today.
He said there are 150 million students worldwide who undergo smart learning through Intel technology. There are also 10 million teachers trained in Intel's Teaching and Learning for the Future program, enabling teachers to use technology for maximum teaching effectiveness in classrooms.
This forum will be among others which the State Ministry for Youth Affairs will be holding in the near future.
