As many as 5,000 housing units will be handed over in Luxor before the end of this year, said Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The housing units come as part of the social housing project.

Five percent of the housing units will be allocated to the people with special needs, said the minister.

He also said that the priority will also be to the divorced women and widows.

The minister, meanwhile, said that part of the social housing project was funded through the UAE aid and was implemented by the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority.
