The World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF)'s Board of Directors Chairman Tun Musa Hitam stressed the deep-rooted, solid historic bilateral commercial relations between Bahrain and Malaysia.
Dr. Hitam said that Bahrain has always played a key role in extending bridges of regional and international mercantile business by virtue of its strategic location and ancient entrepreneurial heritage.
He told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that it was not surprising that Bahrain has always assumed a leading position in the economic, financial and banking field and has been at the forefront as a contributor in building a modern economy particularly in the Arab region.
He commended the Bahraini-Malaysian relations that have accomplished big strides and become the point of convergence between Kuala Lumpur and London. He expressed pride that Bahrain has always maintained its leading role on the economic map in view of its features of great dynamism and business activity. He added that we have learnt a lot from Bahrain in the field of banking and business .
He also said that he was visiting Bahrain for the purpose of discussing with the relevant officials about preparations ahead of the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum slated to be hosted in Dubai October 28-30.
