Economic development strategy prepared for Ismailia, Minya

Local Development Minister Adel Labib said that an economic development strategy is being prepared for Ismailia and Minya governorates.

The strategy is prepared in coordination with governors, economic development teams in both governorates and the local economic development unit in the Ministry of Local Development.

The unit completed the economic local development strategy for Fayyoum and Sohag governorates, Labib said.

An integrated vision is set for developing the major sectors in the field of local economic development for Sohag and Fayyoum in the domains of animal production, poultry and fish production along with medical and aromatic plants, Labib said in a press release on Friday.

The economic local development operation will be applied in all the governorates to support local investment and prepare an economic resources map for the governorates.

As many as 200 of the heads of local units in Sohag, Fayyoum and Ismailia were trained on local planning.
