Seven Palestinian prisoners have been detained for more that 30 years in Israeli prisons, head of the Studies and Documentation Department at the Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Authority Abdul Nasser Farwana said on Sunday.
Detainees Kareem, Maher and Yunes, who were arrested in January 1983 for denouncing the occupation, have spent the longest period in prison.
Some of 40 detainees spent more than two decades in the prison, among them 17 who have been detained for over 25 years.
Many of the detainees were arrested before the signing of the Oslo treaty, Farwana stated.
