Deputy chairman Ismail Haniyeh denies ongoing prisoner-swap talks between Hamas and Israel.
Delivering a speech on Eidul Fitr on Wednesday, Haniyeh said the prisoners issue tops the movement's agenda.
He added, however, that Hamas will not start talks with Israel until it respects its previous agreements.
He said "the movement is not hasty about prisoner-exchange talks with Israel."
Concerning Israeli threats against the Gaza Strip, Haniyeh said he does not fear any threats and the resistance can defend the enclave.
Haniyeh called for unifying Palestinians in the face of the occupation, underlining that Gaza is part of the Palestinian territories.
Haniyeh deplored the bloody blasts in the Arab region, urging Arab states to unite for liberating the Palestinian territories from the Israeli occupation
