Iran and six world powers will hold an expert-level meeting on the nuclear issue in the Austrian capital of Vienna next week, Iranian nuclear negotiator Hamid Baeidinejad told semi-official ISNA news agency on Saturday.
Experts from Iran, headed by Baeidinejad, and the P5+1 group, namely Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States plus Germany, represented by Stephen Clement, an aide to the European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, will meet to discuss details of a possible comprehensive deal on Tehran's nuclear program, according to the report.
Iran and the six powers have held several rounds of nuclear talks this year, the latest one ended in Vienna on May 16 without reaching any deal.
Western countries accuse Iran of secretly developing nuclear weapons and demand that Iran significantly scale back its nuclear program and subject it to more transparency.
Tehran says it has the right to develop nuclear programs under the Non-Proliferation Treaty and its nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes only.
The next round of senior-level talks is scheduled for June 16- 20 in Vienna.
