Israeli forces detained Wednesday 21 Palestinians from across the West Bank and Jerusalem, according to local and security sources.
Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians and seized a large sum of money amounting to $70,000 as well as jewelry during a raid and search campaign carried out throughout the Hebron area. Forces further seized equipment from a shop in the area, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported.
In Tulkarem’s Nur Shams Refugee Camp, a large Israeli military force raided a number of Palestinian homes before detaining two youths aged 19 and 27.
In Ramallah, forces detained five Palestinians, including two brothers, during a military raid into the village of Budros to the west. Forces reportedly raided and searched several homes in the village, tampering with their contents. In Bethlehem, a young Palestinian in his 20s was detained in the town of al-Khader to the south after forces raided and searched his family home.
Also in Bethlehem, the Israeli forces razed a Palestinian-owned land and uprooted olive trees in the village of Wadi Fukin, west of the city. Ahmad Sukkar, mayor of the village, told WAFA that an Israeli army force accompanied by bulldozers raided the village before proceeding to raze a locally owned plot of land and uproot olive trees.
In Jenin, forces detained two youths after raiding and searching their family homes in the town of Qabatiya to the south. In the meantime, Israeli police raided, provocatively searched, and wreaked havoc into a number of Palestinian homes throughout the Jerusalem area, before detaining five Palestinians.
