Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian in Nablus, north of the West Bank, on Monday when youths confronted soldiers accompanying around 1,000 settlers who broke into the city to perform rituals at Joseph's Tomb.
Palestinian security sources said clashes erupted between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians in the aftermath of the settlers’ provocative visit to the tomb, located inside the city, state news agency (WAFA) reported.
The soldiers opened fire at one of the protesting Palestinians, injuring him with a live bullet in his foot. The soldiers then detained the injured youth, according to security sources.
