Soldiers who seized power in Mali have detained the head of one of Mali's biggest political parties and a former prime minister. Soumaila Cisse was arrested in front of his home in Bamako, according to members of parliament from Cisse's party, AP said. Cisse was reportedly injured during the arrest. He was one of the front-runners for the planned April 29 presidential election. Late Monday, a former Malian prime minister, Modibo Sidibe, was arrested at home. He was detained immediately after the military coup. But he was later released along with a dozen other politicians.
