Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah said on Monday that ending the Israeli occupation will achieve security and stability in the region.
Hamdallah made the comments at a meeting with a delegation from the German parliament that was attended by German representative in Palestine Peter Beerwerth.
The prime minister briefed the delegation on the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people and their sacred places.
He called on Germany to exercise pressure on Israel to stop the violations and military escalation, pointing out to the targeting of worshipers in Al Aqsa Mosque and the policy of detentions and mass punishment.
He also reviewed the latest political developments, especially a French initiative to hold an international peace conference.
He asserted the Palestinian support for the two-state solution.
