Settlers' attempt to storm Al Aqsa mosque foiled
Ramallah - Arab Today

Dozens of settlers, backed by Israeli forces, stormed the precincts of Al Aqsa mosque via Bab Magharba on Sunday on the occasion of the Jewish Passover, Palestinian sources said.

The mosque guards and worshipers stood against the settlers and foiled their attempt to perform Talmudic prayers at the holy Islamic site.

Earlier, Israeli forces imposed strict measures on Palestinians willing to enter the mosque for prayers.

Settlers' attempts to force their way into the Muslim compound have been on the rise since extremist groups have called for a wider storming of the holy mosque to mark the Jewish Passover.
