A would-be suicide bomber who attempted to target the motorcade of Afghan Interior Minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi was shot dead by police on Sunday, Interior Ministry spokesman said. "A suicide bomber who attempted to target the motorcade of Interior Minister was identified and gunned down by police in Parwan province this afternoon," Sediq Sediqi told Xinhua. "The Interior Minister is safe and sound and no one has been hurt except the suicide bomber," Sediqi added. Meantime, Berishna Khalid the spokesman of Parwan's provincial administration also in talks with Xinhua confirmed the incident and said the suicide bomber was identified and shot dead by policemen accompanying the Interior Minister en route to Panshir province.
