Unidentified warplanes reportedly killed several al-Shabaab militants in an attack on a base in Dhaay Tubaako. Reports from the region said two fighter jets fired missiles, killing 10 al-Shabaab militants at the base, 10 miles from Jilib in southern Somalia. Al-Shabaab has yet to issue a statement about the raid, United Nations- supported Bar-Kulan Radio reported. People in Jilib said they saw the missile attacks, adding that the rockets hit a well at a time when nomadic communities from surrounding areas were fetching water. They said women and children were wounded at the well. Other reports say an individual with a donkey cart was killed in the attack along with a number of the nomads' livestock.
