Anzhi FC gets new player

Lassana Diarra Moscow - Agencies Lassana Diarra left Real Madrid for FC Anzhi Makhachkala, the Russian club revealed. Diarra becomes Anzhi’s highest-profile signing of the summer. The value of the transfer was not revealed. Diarra had a year left to run on his Real Madrid deal. Diarra, 27, switched to Real in 2008 from Portsmouth, but failed to become a regular starter, making 117 appearances and scoring only four goals since then. A French international since 2007, he has made 28 appearances but is yet to score a goal for the national team. Injury kept him out of the Euro 2012. Anzhi also recruited Russian striker Nikita Burmistrov on Monday from Amkar Perm.
