World Cup runners-up Croatia crashed to a 6-0 defeat away to Spain in their opening game of the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.
Saul Niguez and Marco Asensio gave Spain a 2-0 lead in Elche before an own goal by goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic added to Croatia’s misery.
Goals from Rodrigo, Sergio Ramos and Isco in the second half completed the rout for Spain, who are top of the group on six points following Saturday’s 2-1 win over England.
