Egyptian coach Ahmed Hossam Mido said that he did not expect what happened during the match between Egypt’s Zamalek and Libya’s Ahly Tripoli, saying that what the fans did during the match was frustrating for the team’s fans.
He added that there are a large number of problems that surrounded the Egyptian team and prevented it from achieving its objectives in the current CAF Champions League. He added that the current generation of Zamalek’s players failed to bear the responsibility of their team during the current critical period.
He stressed that the only player who managed to prove his efficiency is Marouf Yussef, saying that he exerts his efforts during the matches to meet the aspirations. He blamed also the current board for the failure of the team to qualify for the coming round of CAF Champions League, saying the increasing change of coaching staffs leading the team leaves negative repercussions on the players.
He called Zamalek’s board to pledge not to exclude the coach and to allow him complete the coming season, saying that the current policy based on changing the coaches serves the interests of major competitors, including Al-Ahly.
Regarding his return to the team, he said that it is not the suitable atmosphere to lead Zamalek, saying that he is happy with his current team Wadi Degla. He stressed the need for winning the coming match against Al-Ahly in the framework of the Egyptian Cup.
