A snowboarder was killed while two others were missing due to an avalanche in Savoie in southeastern France, according to local reports.
The Dutch man was found dead late on Tuesday and a thorough search for the two other snowboarders is underway, the regional newspaper Le Dauphine Libere reported.
Avalanche alert remains high in the area after heavy snowfall, it added.
A day before, an avalanche at Tignes ski resort in the French Alps engulfed many skiers, but no victims had been reported.
Last month, four skiers were killed when an avalanche rushed down an off-piste site near Tignes in Savoie.
