At least one was killed and six others were injured when a rocket hit a security checkpost in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of North Waziristan on Tuesday night, reported local Urdu TV channel ARY. The attack occurred when a rocket fired from unknown places hit a checkpost near a camp of security forces in the Shawal area of North Waziristan, a tribal area bordering Afghanistan, which is frequently hunted by militants hiding in the area or coming from Afghanistan. One soldier was killed on the spot while six others were injured in the attack, said the report. All the injured people have been shifted to a military hospital in Miranshah, a main town in North Waizirstan, the report said, adding that three were critically injured.No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
