At least 15 people died in a jeep accident in Palpa district in western Nepal on Saturday morning. According to the police, 14 died on the spot and one died at a local medical college. It has been learnt that except the driver, rest of the deceased are the family members of Satendra Lamichhane Magar of Thorga of Gulmi district. Magar family had been living in New Delhi, India, myrepublica.com reported. Two passengers have sustained critical injuries, Lumbini Medical College, Palpa informed. The jeep veered some 80 meters down the road into the river, some 175 km west of Kathmandu, locals said. A team of police led by deputy superintendent of police Mira Chaudhary has been deployed to the site.
